I don't have com.hp.devicemonitor.plist on my LaunchAgents folder. The temporary solution I am using is the postscript generic driver pointing to the printer's IP. I get to use the duplexer, but the other options, such as trays, stacker and stapler and envelope feeder are not options that can be used.
From what I read, Apple has pushed two updates today, to the data files used by XProtect, bringing its version number to 2133 dated 19 October 2020, and to its malware removal tool MRT, bringing it to version 1.68, also dated 19 October 2020.
This has affected many HP files by revoking many HP certificates. Dozens of models are now not working under Catalina.
I hope that HP fixes this. Apple has taken the position (at least that is what level 2 support stated to me) that this is an HP issue and older printers may simply not be supported going forward. This is a bit ridiculous, there is a huge installed base of laserjet series 4XXX workhorses that suddenly stopped functioning on the MAC environment

MY HP color laser jet CP5225n would not print . I recently installed Adoobe Creative Cloud. Could that be the problem. We have it printing but, I get this message
“HPDM.framework” will damage your computer. Can anyone explain this message and is there a solution ? Jean

It really looks like those who are experiencing this issue are running older software signed with a certificate that expired today.
Please update your software using HP Easy Start
1. Download HP Easy Start
2. Follow the prompts for setting up your printer. When you get to the software download it will show whether the software needs updated or not. If it does the box next to Printer Essentials will be checked by default and you just need to select the Install button.
The following should not be necessary but if you want to be extra diligent and guarantee a clean new install.
1. Download HP Easy Start
2. Open HP Easy Start and Select the HP Easy Start Menu in the macOS menu bar. In this menu select Uninstall HP Software.
3.Select Continue to start the Uninstall process
4. Once the uninstall completes. Select Set Up New Device.
5. Go through the new device setup process by following the prompts.
6. This will lead to the software download/install prompt.
7. Select install and the remaining prompts to finish the process.
Edit: Systems administrators and those unable to use HP Easy Start can use HP Easy Admin to download the software pkg files directly.

I have a LaserJet Pro MFP 277dw. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it. Printing works fine. Scanner will not work. Gives me the “HPDM.framework will damage your computer”. If I click ok through that several times and get “operation couldn’t be completed (com.apple.imagecaprure error 4294957375”.

I had this problem too. It ask you to select OK, or Finder. Click finder it will open some folders. I deleted the HPdevicemontoring.framework folder, HPDM.framework folder and matterhorn.framework folder. Basically I deleted each folder that flashed up on my screen. This seem to do the job. Was able to print no problem. I have an HP 8600.

I uninstalled all HP software using your instructions (thank you), then installed new drivers.
It's only a new printer (HP Envy Photo 6200 -- about a month old), yet the same error is appearing again on my Mac (Catalina 10.15.7):
"HPDM.framework" will damage your computer.
Yesterday the error was different:
"HPDeviceMonitoring.framework" will damage your computer.
Will deleting those files will cause problems?
Thanks,
Paul

Doesn't work im afraid. I deleted all the files that MAcOS told me to and the messages stopped but knowing that some of the frameworks are required for the printer to function properly I knew id run into problems later. Seeing your post I thought id give it a shot but at about 80% installation MacOS then started throwing up messages again. So even the currently available EasyStart software is not signed with a valid certificate. Now I have to choose between being nagged every ten seconds or not being able to print. Ive literally just started to work from home this morning because of local lockdown and this has immediately screwed my life up. I cant go into work I cant work from home.

I reinstalled the HP software for my Officejet Pro 8620 and the problem still persists. I think it is ridiculous that Apple would push an update that would disable so many printers. I am sure the finger pointing process will start but HP not officially addressing this issue is poor. HP could have at least sent an email to registered users that there is a problem and they are working on a solution.

Good Morning.
Just tried uninstalling, and using the HP Easy Start installation. Still have the problem. Running Catalina 10.15.7, and have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus.
Update: Decided to get nasty about it. Did the following, and my system prints just fine, and no warnings.
1. Ran the standalone uninstaller
2. Moved EVERYTHING from /Library/Printers/hp/Frameworks to trash, and emptied trash
3. Ran the Easy Start Installation again
Hope this helps someone.
