That file doesn't show up in my Library. Ran a search and file doesn't exist but am still getting the pop-up window. Yesterday ran Malware on system and it quarantined a couple of Adware files. Don't know how to get rid of the pop up.

After deleting the files, are you still able to print?? I removed the implicated files, emptied the trash and the error message stopped, but then was no longer able to print. I downloaded new printer drivers and now the error message has returned. Did not have this problem prior to the latest Mac Catalina OS update.

Yes, I was still able to print. Error message stopped. Right, did not have the problem prior to latest Mac Catalina O/S update. Before I found this forum, I had just ordered a new printer because I thought the HP driver conflicted with the new Mac O/S update because of the error messages i kept getting. Didn't realize it was a malware problem. Ran free Malware software installed on my desktop, but it didn't detect the offending files.

Facing the same issue, I found that documents would print if I selected the 'Show in Finder' option on the error warning. The document printed immediately without any other selections. Still, the issue needs a permanent fix.

For all those simply deleting the files because MacOS told you so, they are there for a reason and I would imagine at some point you will run into issues. I think one of them is to check the status of your printer, i.e. ink levels etc. and another is to see if its online or not. If It works great but I personally would advise against deleting files from an app because someone else thinks they stink. Its clear HP need to update their certificate.
My problems started a few days ago when HP Utility crashed on start up, then I started getting the 'this file will damage your computer' the very next day. Luckily I have a wifi printer and it doesn't have print or scanner so I can get away with just using the AirPrint driver and getting rid of anything and everything from HP. So far so good.
I tried resintalling the HP driver after uninstalling everything as others reported success but halfway through installation MacOS warned me about the files again as soon as they hit my HD so I got rid of everything and just used the AirPrint driver. This however won't work for people with scanners and email extras on their printers.
