If your HP LaserJet P1102w printer's Windows 11 drivers are not working on your Windows 10 (64-bit) system, you can install the correct drivers for Windows 10. Follow these steps to install the Windows 10 drivers:
Step 1: Uninstall Current Printer Drivers
- Open the Settings menu on your computer.
- Navigate to Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click Remove device.
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Find any HP printer software installed and uninstall it.
Step 2: Download Windows 10 Drivers
- Visit the HP Support Website.
- Select your operating system as Windows 10 (64-bit).
- Download the appropriate driver package for Windows 10.
Step 3: Install Windows 10 Drivers
- Locate the downloaded driver package (usually in your Downloads folder).
- Right-click the downloaded file and select Run as administrator.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Step 4: Connect the Printer
- Turn on your HP LaserJet P1102w printer.
- Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable if you are installing it for the first time. If the printer is already connected, you can skip this step.
- Open the Settings menu on your computer.
- Navigate to Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click Add a printer or scanner.
- Select your HP LaserJet P1102w from the list and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
Step 5: Set Printer Preferences
- Open Devices and Printers from Control Panel.
- Right-click your HP LaserJet P1102w printer and select Printer properties.
- Adjust any settings as needed for your printing preferences (e.g., default paper size, print quality, etc.).
Step 6: Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support Website.
- Download and install the latest firmware update for your printer to ensure optimal performance.
If you encounter issues during installation, try the following:
- Disable your antivirus or firewall temporarily, as they might interfere with the installation process.
- Ensure that Windows is updated to the latest version.
- Restart your computer after installing the drivers.
