Today my blue network suddenly started to blink. No change to the Modem or router.
There is apparently no network connection. I used the wireless wizard to inmput the SSID and network password, which are 100% correct (since work for computer), but it says the connection failed. Printing with a usb cable works. Scanner does not work with usb cable. I need my wireless and scanner. Please advise. The printer will not work on our 2 computers so not computer related. Yesterday, it worked for both computers in the house. I have tried turning router and printer off. That does not help.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I understand that you are unable to print wirelessly and the Network light is blinking.
I'd like to help.
I suggest you restart the Router, computer and do a Printer Reset.
Printer Reset:
(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
If the issue persists, Restore the Network Settings and then reconnect the Printer to your Network.
1st Step: Restore the Default Network Settings.
1. From the printer control panel, touch and slide your finger across the screen, touch Setup, and then touch Network Setup.
2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then touch Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.
3. Touch OK.
4. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
2nd Step: Network Setup.
1. From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger across the screen and then touch Setup.
2. Touch Network Setup.
3. Touch Wireless Settings.
4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you.
Cheers....

I am having the same problem, although with an HPOfficeJet 8620. Yesterday, ouir provider (Frontier Communciations) installed a new upgraded router. Since then the prointer has displayed a blinking blue light and will not respond to a print signal. I have followed your instructions about unplugging and re-plugging and setting the router name and password with no success.
Any suggestions?
