Have Envy 7640 printer. Trying to print firms from iPad, says cannot find any air printers. Why?

I need to print some forms on my Envy 7640 printer from my iPad, but it tells me that it can’t find any air printers.  What is an air printer, and what do I do?  Is it a matter of updating the printer software?  If so, which one do I need?  I’m desperate.  I have to print them BEFORE this coming Tuesday so I can scan and send them with a registration.

I see that you are getting no air print found error on your HP Printer.

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to enable AirPrint from the HP Smart app:

On your computer or mobile device, use the HP Smart app to check for and enable AirPrint on your printer.

1. Open the HP Smart app, and then create an account or sign in. If you do not have HP Smart, download it from 123.hp.com or your app store.
2. On the app home screen, select your printer name or image.
3. Under Advanced, select Advanced Settings or Printer Home Page (EWS).
4. Select Network, and then look for AirPrint.
   • If AirPrint does not display, your printer does not support it. Use an alternate method to print, such as Wi-Fi Direct.
   • If AirPrint displays, select it, and then select Status.
5. If you are prompted to go to a secure HTTPS-enabled webpage, select OK or Redirect to HTTPS.
6. If a connection is not private message displays, select Advanced or Show Details, and then select Proceed to 192.168.x.xx or visit this website.
7. Under AirPrint Status, select Turn on AirPrint
