Cannot get my new hp envy 7640 to connect to my mac desktop. The printer is connected to my wireless router, but I can't get it to connect to my mac. Any suggestions?

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 7640 printer and it seems to be connected to the network but unable to connect to your Mac PC. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
- . From the printer's home screen, touch the
button and then touch (Settings). 2. Touch Print Reports. and then touch Display Network &onfiJurDtLon or Print Wireless Test Report.
- This report will have the IP address. Please type this IP address into the address bar of the web browser and hit enter
- This should open the EWS page (Embedded Web Server) of the printer.
- If the EWS page opens then it means that the printer is connected to the network.
I suggest you to perform the steps as described in detail from this link: http://hp.care/2jhBw4L
Let me know how that pans out. All the best! 🙂
