My printer is a HP smart tank 6001 my laptop is a HP as well

Try these steps:

1. Download and Install the Latest Driver:

  1. Step 1: Go to the HP Support website.
  2. Step 2: Enter "HP Smart Tank 6001" in the search bar and select your printer model.
  3. Step 3: Navigate to the "Software, Drivers and Firmware" section.
  4. Step 4: Download the latest printer driver for your operating system.
  5. Step 5: Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

2. Check for Windows Updates:

  1. Step 1: Click the Start button and select "Settings" (gear icon).
  2. Step 2: Go to "Update & Security".
  3. Step 3: Click "Check for updates". Install any available updates.

3. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

HP offers a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor that can help diagnose and fix printing issues.

  1. Step 1: Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from the official HP website.
  2. Step 2: Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and resolve the issue.

4. Remove and Reinstall Printer:

  1. Step 1: Open "Settings" and go to "Devices".
  2. Step 2: Select "Printers & scanners".
  3. Step 3: Select your HP Smart Tank 6001 and click "Remove device".
  4. Step 4: Restart your computer.
  5. Step 5: Re-add the printer by clicking "Add a printer or scanner" in the same "Printers & scanners" settings.

5. Restart Printer Spooler Service:

  1. Step 1: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Step 2: Type services.msc and press Enter.
  3. Step 3: Scroll down to "Print Spooler".
  4. Step 4: Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart".
