Product: HP LaserJet Enterprise M506n
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have an HP LaserJet M506 that we want to set up toner alerts for. When it runs low or out of toner, we want it to send out an e-mail alert notifying us of that.

 

Our problem is that we cannot seem to get the outgoing email server (SMTP) properly configured. It keeps telling us "The operation failed. Please verify your configuration and try again." We have tried the following:

 

I know my SMTP server address or host name: smtp.office365.com

Server Name: smtp.office365.com

Port Number: 25

Enabled/disabled SMTP SSL Protocol and validate certificates

Server requires authentication: Entered in user name and password. We also have a LaserJet Pro M404n which uses the same credentials and it seems to work on that.

 

We have tried the Google configuration but that doesn't seem to work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
