I have a 3054 Deskjet j610 series that prints from my chromebook but not printing from my new imac which is 15.3.1.

 

If I plug it in the computer sees the printer I select the job but then printer icon disappears from my open apps and just says printer idle when I open it back up. Do I need to download something ? or is this printer to old to communicate with this newer computer?

Use Easy Start software to install your printer in Mac:

>> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

* Click YES   to say thank you,
