Constant high pitched whine from envy 6032e when on
10-30-2020 03:10 AM
Yesterday I installed my new HP Envy 6032e all-in-one printer. Everything went fine, however I noticed a constant high-pitched tone coming from the machine. It is loud enough to be disturbing.. I think it is either Wi-Fi related or power-related. It stops the moment I turn the power off. The printer itself works as it should.
Is this a known defect?

Hi,
Re: High Pitched sound from my HP ENVY 6032e all the time when powered on
I thought the high-pitched noise may be to do with Wi-Fi.
So I looked at the forums to see if Wi-Fi could be disabled as I wanted to use a USB connection only.
The forum said:
There is Wi-Fi button at the back of the printer. Press to turn on or off the printer wireless capabilities of connecting to a wireless network with a router or an access point.
Once off, the blue wireless light will turn off.
This has stopped the noise.

Hi @Thomrnh
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are getting constant high pitched sound on your HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer.
This issue may occur if the printer is not connected directly to the wall outlet.
Also I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to reset the printer:
1. With printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
3. Wait 60 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
5. Turn the printer on.
Let me know if this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
