Hello everyone, 

  I have been tasked with looking into my companies printers for hipaa and security issues. Currently we have over 1300 hp printers online with a very wide range of models and age. We are wanting to replace the devices in lots of 400. I would like to see if there is a list of devices that no longer meet hipaa and or have security risk due to outdated firmware that is no longer supported. 

Any info to point me in the right direction would be great.

Your best option for ensuring compliance would be to consider adopting HP JetAdvantage Security. It monitors all printers on the network and allows you to create a security template you can apply to all printers. It also monitors printers and if something is modified on the printer it will automatically reapply the template to maintain compliance.
