To wake up your HP 6400 printer from sleep mode, follow the steps below:
- Press the Power Button: Simply press the power button located on the back of the printer to wake it up from sleep mode.
- Send a Print Job: Sending a print job to the printer will also wake it up from sleep mode.
- Tap Any Button: Pressing any button on the control panel can also wake the printer.
If your printer does not wake up from sleep mode using these methods, you may need to check and update the printer's settings:
Steps to Ensure Proper Sleep Settings
Access the Settings Menu:
- From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select the Settings application.
Open Energy Settings:
- Navigate to General > Energy Settings > Sleep Settings.
Check Sleep and Auto Off Settings:
- Ensure that the Sleep after Inactivity and Auto Off after Sleep settings are configured correctly to match your usage requirements.
- Enter appropriate time periods for these settings. For example:
- Sleep after Inactivity: Set the number of minutes the printer should be inactive before it enters sleep mode.
- Auto Off after Sleep: Set the number of minutes after the printer enters sleep mode before it powers off completely.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
