Hi @TomTom05,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is printing with an unusually large font size, it’s usually caused by the application settings, printer preferences, or document formatting, not the printer itself.
Here’s how to fix it, depending on where you're printing from:
1. Check Font Settings in the App You're Using
- Microsoft Word / Google Docs:
- Select all text (Ctrl + A).
- Set font size to something normal, like 11 or 12 pt.
- Web Browser (e.g., printing emails or PDFs):
- Use Print Preview (Ctrl + P) and check scale or zoom settings—make sure it's set to 100% or "Fit to Page."
2. Check Printer Settings Before Printing
- Click File > Print, then select your HP printer.
- Click "Printer Properties" or "Preferences."
- Look for options like “Scale,” “Zoom,” or “Page Layout.”
- Make sure scaling is set to 100%, not "Fit to paper" or "Custom scale."
3. Check Page Size and Margins
- Ensure the paper size in the app matches what’s loaded in the printer (usually A4 or Letter).
- Also, check if margins are set properly; huge margins can make fonts look oversized.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
