Hi @Daryth,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To factory reset your Officejet Pro 8630 and reset the admin password, you can follow these steps.

  1. Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Press and hold the lower left-hand corner of the printer display while simultaneously pressing the "Cancel" button.
  3. While still holding the corner of the display, plug the printer back into the power source.
  4. Continue holding the corner of the display until you see the "Permanent Storage Init" message appear on the display.
  5. Release the corner of the display and wait for the printer to finish its reset process, which may take several minutes.
  6. Once the reset is complete, the printer should turn off automatically. If it doesn't, turn it off manually.
  7. Turn the printer back on and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up as a new device.
  8. The admin password should now be reset to the default password, which is usually "admin" or "password".

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all the settings on your printer, including network settings and saved jobs, so make sure to back up any important data before proceeding with the reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
