I recently replaced my Lenovo laptop with an HP Pavilion but the printer driver for my HPOfficeJet J5780 has been retired so Windows 11 can’t find it. I am looking to download it from a third-party app. Any ideas?

If you don't want to or can't use the "Installing Your Printer Driver Using the Windows Built-in Solution" on the support page...

HP Officejet J5780 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

...This reputable 3rd party driver website that I use often, has the drivers you need for your printer:

HP Officejet J5780 All-in-One drivers (driverscollection.com)

I recommend you select one the Vista 64 bit drivers since those are the newest ones available.

Thank you for your response. It’s not that I don’t want to use the HP built-in solution. I tried it and it didn’t work. It only retrieved a troubleshooting driver but not the actual printer driver, I’m guessing because it is no longer available from HP. I went to the website you suggested and they do have the driver available but not for Windows 11 as far as I could tell. Am I missing something?

You're very welcome.

Those were the only drivers HP had for that model printer which is why the drivers collection website only has those drivers available.

That is why I suggested you try the Vista drivers and hope they work on W11.

If they don't, and if the HP built in driver doesn't work on W11, unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
