error message.jpgJust got this printer earlier today for the life of me I cant set it up to scan the traditional way: to my PC, not to an email or other fancy stuff.

 

It does scan to my USB drive, but I'd like for it to scan through the HP SMART software. Here is the error message I'm getting ;(

Just got off the phone with HP support and I was told this particular printer/scanner doesn't have the capability to scan directly to a PC...That so doesn't sound right, a $2,000 printer doesn't have the most basic scan option available?? I can scan to an email address, to a USB stick but not to my computer?
