@ACOT0808, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're trying to reset the password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-in-One Printer, here are the steps you can follow depending on the type of password you're referring to:

To Reset the Embedded Web Server (EWS) Admin Password:

Access the Printer’s Control Panel:

  • Tap the Settings or Setup icon (gear symbol).
  • Navigate to Network Setup > Advanced Settings > Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Open the EWS on a Browser:

  • Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel (under Wireless Settings).
  • Enter the IP address in a web browser to open the EWS.

Login to EWS:

  • If prompted for a password and you don’t remember it, click Forgot Password (if available).
  • If that option isn’t available, you’ll need to restore factory settings to reset the password.

To Restore Factory Defaults (Resets All Settings Including Password):

This will erase all custom settings including Wi-Fi credentials and admin passwords.

On the printer control panel, go to:

  • Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.

Confirm the reset when prompted.

After the reset, you can reconfigure the printer and set a new password via the EWS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
