There is no "requirement" for colorlok paper that I am aware of. More than likely the printer driver is set to a default paper type of color lok. If you change the default paper type to plain you will stop getting a prompt to insert colorlok. The method will vary depending on whether you have Window or Mac computer, however you have no included that information in your post.
