HP EliteBook 840 G2 (MAR Refurished) - Deskjet 2652
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How do I remove all the installed printer software (HP DJ 2652) from a Refurbished HP EliteBook 840 G2  so I can START OVER. When I followed the instructions to print wirelessly directly from the computer to the printer, after installation every time I hit print I got the message "printer off line," but the document was in the printer que. The "app" for the printer was in the "app" section of "settings."

Then when I ran HP support assistant, it showed two more items to install. It turned out that one of those items to install was very large and put at least six or seven new programs/apps into both the "programs section" of the CONTROL PANEL and listed the same amount of APPS in the APP SECTION of the settings icon, but all of this did not fix the "printer off line" problem.

I would like to remove EVERYTHING connected with  the printer and start over, even if I end up using a USB cable.

Do I have to remove all of these programs & apps one by one, or is there a way to remove all printer software for the Deskjet 2652 in one operation or perhaps with a removal tool.

If I have to remove all these programs/drivers/apps one by one should I start in the remove programs section of the CONTROL PANEL  OR  the part of the "settings icon part" WHERE THEY ARE ALL LISTED AS APPS TOO?

Finally, the printer box makes a big deal out of "wireless" meaning "direct from the printer" OR on a wireless network. Should I play it safe this time and select USB installation?

Depending on what was installed, it may be necessary to uninstall the applications one at a time.

In general, the Full Feature Software is uninstalled from Programs and Features.  Related applications, for example, HP Smart for Windows, will may require that you uninstall the application separately.

Software may be found in several locations.

For example,

  • Standard software is located in Programs and Features.
  • Application software may be found in (Windows 10) Apps and Features and / or in Programs and Features.
  • Software installed from the Windows Store might be located in your Windows Start (Windows key).
