Open HP Smart to check the status of the printer.

If your printer is on your network,
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check on the printer.
EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
If the status is not already on the home screen,
Open Personalize > Click to Add / Display Tile "Printer Information"
You can (also) open Printer Information
Note that doing so might wake up the printer.
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
