How do I factory reset my HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e?

@DJank,

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!

Performing a factory reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer will erase all user-configured settings and return the printer to its default factory settings. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Access the Control Panel:

    • If your printer has a touchscreen control panel, access it by tapping on the screen or pressing the "Home" button.
  2. Access the Setup Menu:

    • Navigate to the setup menu on the control panel. You might need to swipe or scroll through the options to find "Setup" or "Preferences."
  3. Select "Restore Defaults":

    • Look for an option that allows you to restore the printer to its default settings. This might be labeled as "Restore Defaults" or "Factory Reset." Once you've found this option, select it.
  4. Confirm the Reset:

    • The printer will typically ask you to confirm the reset. Confirm your choice.
  5. Wait for Reset to Complete:

    • The printer will now reset to its factory defaults. This process may take a few minutes, and the printer may restart automatically.

Please note that the exact steps and menu options may vary slightly depending on the printer's firmware version. If you have trouble finding the reset option or experience any issues, you can also refer to the printer's user manual (see: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06940373.pdf).  What may help you is to uninstall your printer and reinstall the "Installation Software and Full/Basic Driver-Supports print and scan functionality only" from here: HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support.

Performing a factory reset should only be done when absolutely necessary, as it will erase all your custom settings, including Wi-Fi network information, and you'll need to set up the printer again from scratch.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
