@foxjohnsix, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To print wallet-size color photos (typically 2.5" x 3.5") on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 using Windows 11, follow these steps:
Prepare the Photo(s)
- Use a photo editing tool (like Microsoft Photos, Paint, or even Word) to ensure your photo is correctly cropped/resized to wallet size.
- If you're printing multiple wallet-sized photos on one page, create a layout (e.g., in Word or PowerPoint) that fits multiple 2.5" x 3.5" images on a single 4"x6", 5"x7", or 8.5"x11" paper.
Steps to Print Wallet Size via HP Smart or Windows Photos
Option 1: Using Windows Photos App
- Right-click your photo and select Open with > Photos.
- Click the Print icon or press Ctrl + P.
- In the Print window:
Printer: Select HP OfficeJet Pro 7740.
Paper size: Choose your loaded paper (e.g., 4x6 in, 5x7 in, or Letter).
Photo size: Choose Wallet (9x13 cm) or Custom.
Fit/Fill: Select Shrink to fit or Fit to maintain proportions. - Load the appropriate photo paper (preferably in Tray 1) and set the type to Photo Paper in printer settings.
- Click Print.
Option 2: Using Microsoft Word for Custom Layout
- Open Word, go to Insert > Pictures, and add your photo.
- Resize the image to 2.5” x 3.5” (right-click > Size and Position).
- Copy-paste to fit multiple photos on a single page.
- Go to File > Print.
- Select:
Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 7740
Paper type and size - Click Print.
Tips for Best Results
- Use HP Advanced Photo Paper for best color output.
- Set Print Quality to Best in the printer properties.
- Load photo paper face-down in Tray 1 (with glossy side facing down and short edge first).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
