I have a MACOS on Ventura release 13.5.2. Just switched router from Comcast to Verizon and can not get my HP desk printer wifi reconnected. I'm 72 and might be too old. I tried HP support but not very helpful. I'm using a HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M29w printer. Can anyone help me reconnect?

Hi @Kermit1951,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reconnect your HP LaserJet PRO MFP M29w printer to your new Verizon router on an Apple OS device, you'll need to follow these general steps.
Prepare Your Printer:
- Make sure your printer is powered on and in a ready state.
- Ensure it is within range of your new Verizon router's Wi-Fi signal.
Access the Printer's Control Panel:
- If your printer has a touchscreen or control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or Wi-Fi setup menu.
Reset Network Settings (If Necessary):
- If your printer was previously connected to a different network, you may need to reset its network settings. This usually involves pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button on the printer for a few seconds until the network settings are reset. Consult your printer's user manual for specific instructions.
Connect to Wi-Fi:
- In the printer's wireless settings, select your new Verizon router's Wi-Fi network from the available networks list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password for your new router when prompted. Be careful to enter it correctly.
Verify the Connection:
- Once you've entered the Wi-Fi password, your printer should attempt to connect to the network. Wait for it to establish a connection. This may take a minute or two.
Print a Configuration Page (Optional):
- After connecting to the new network, it's a good idea to print a configuration page from your printer to confirm that it has successfully connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. This will provide you with information about the printer's IP address, which can be useful for troubleshooting.
Install Printer Drivers (if not already installed):
- If you haven't already installed the HP printer drivers on your Apple OS device, you may need to do so. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website or use Apple's built-in printer setup utility to find and install the appropriate driver.
Print a Test Page:
- Once your printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network and drivers are installed, print a test page from your Apple OS device to ensure everything is working correctly.
Remember that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on the model of your HP printer and the version of Apple OS you are using. If you encounter any issues during this process, consult your printer's user manual or the HP website for specific instructions, and check the Apple support resources for troubleshooting tips on connecting printers to your Mac.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
