How do I reset the password for my Laser Jet M14 Owe printer so that I can air print from iOS devices.  We had a power outage and have forgotten our password and so we cannot access the printer from our devices.  Thanks

Hi @TimZ46

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If you've forgotten the administrator password for your HP LaserJet Pro M14 and can’t access its Embedded Web Server (EWS) to enable AirPrint, the solution is to reset the printer to factory settings—this clears all custom passwords.

Follow the steps below to reset your HP LaserJet M14 printer password so you can use AirPrint again:

Resetting Your HP LaserJet M14 Printer Password (Full Factory Reset)

Since the admin password is forgotten, you’ll need to reset the printer to factory settings. This removes all saved settings, including Wi‑Fi and admin passwords.

Steps to Perform a Full Reset:

Power off the printer.

Press and hold the Right Arrow (→) and Cancel (✖) buttons together.

While holding these buttons, turn the printer back on.

Keep holding the buttons until the display shows:
“Permanent Storage Init.”

Release the buttons. The printer will reset and restart.

This will restore everything to factory defaults.

After Reset: Reconnect and Enable AirPrint

Reconnect the printer to your Wi‑Fi using HP Smart App or via the WPS method (pressing the Wi-Fi and router buttons).

Print a configuration page to find the new IP address:

Press and hold the Cancel/Resume button until the light blinks.

Open a web browser and type in the printer’s IP to access its settings.

From there, you can:

Set a new admin password

Confirm AirPrint is enabled

Once connected, your iPhone should automatically detect the printer if they’re on the same network.

Let me know if you want step-by-step help connecting it to Wi-Fi or using AirPrint!
