My print quality is awful on photos and I’d like for Photoshop to manage the colors for hopefully better results.  In order to do this, the color management has to be turned off on my printer, yet I cannot see how to do that.  Everything I read says to go into system preferences, printer, options and supplies etc, yet there is no option to turn off color management or get into advanced color options.  I’m using a HP7155 printer.  Does this printer not allow this option?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The printer hardware is not aware of how image (or document) color is used, set, manipulated, edited, or changed -- the printer accepts a job, translates the content into printer language, and prints the results on paper.

At least for Windows,

Color Management is not a printer hardware function, Color management / color profile management is set up in the device (computer) and added to the print driver.

I do not recognize the path you are using:

"system preferences, printer, options and supplies etc,"

Perhaps Mac OS?

Check how to manage "Color management" for your system - Apple help files?
