I am using the Pro 6960 and I changed my router and now I can't update the wifi settings cause all the functions seem to be locked.  I have researched the manuals and the forums here and there are some options provided by they lead me to solutions that are also locked.  Please help.

I'm afraid we have to factory reset  the printer to revoke all the disabled features. I've send you instructions on a private message on how to factory reset the printer since the reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

Restoring the printer to the original factory settings should unlock the disabled settings, let's try these steps:

1.) From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2.) Touch Printer Maintenance .

3.) Touch Restore.

4.) Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5.) Touch Continue.

6.) Power off and power on the printer.

7.) From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless).

8.) Touch ( Settings ).

9.) Touch Wireless Settings.

10.) Touch Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the display instructions to connect the printer to your home WiFi.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you...but unfortunayely I then get a message sayting that the "restore feature has been locked by the person who set up the printer."  I am the person who set-up the printer and I never intentionally locked it.

So can you please help me to unlock it?  what do I do?  there is no documentation on this.

Many thanks
