Hi @Wolfgemv,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To access the printer quality menu on an HP Officejet 4620, you can follow these general steps. Keep in mind that the menu options might vary slightly based on your printer model, and the steps provided are based on the general procedure for HP printers.

Open the Printer Software on your computer:

  • On a Windows computer, you can usually find the printer software by going to the Start menu, selecting "Devices and Printers," right-clicking on your HP Officejet 4620, and choosing "Printing Preferences" or "Properties."
  • On a Mac, go to "System Preferences," select "Printers & Scanners," choose your HP Officejet 4620, and click on "Options & Supplies."

Navigate to Print Quality Settings:

  • Look for a tab or menu option related to "Print Quality," "Advanced Settings," or "Maintenance."
  • In some cases, you might find a "Toolbox" or "Utilities" section that includes maintenance options.

Adjust Print Quality Settings:

  • Once you've accessed the print quality menu, you should see options for adjusting settings such as print quality, density, or color intensity.
  • Look for an option to perform a "Print Quality Diagnostic" or "Alignment" to check and correct any issues.

Clean the Printheads:

  • In the print quality menu, there may be an option to clean the printheads. This can help resolve issues with faded or streaky prints.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the printhead cleaning process.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Visit the official HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can improve overall performance.

If you're unable to find the print quality settings through the computer software, you can also try accessing the printer menu directly:

On the Printer's Control Panel:

  • Press the "Home" button on the printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu.
  • Look for options related to print quality, maintenance, or tools.

Run a Print Quality Diagnostic:

  • Some printers have a diagnostic or alignment test that you can run to identify and correct print quality issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
