HP-4201dn "Printer is not "fully functional please contact HP , your support representative. "
Is there a way (like access thru http or pressing the big round button will power is being applied) or to boot the printer to tftp and use a dhcp (via the ethernet network) so that I can push an emergency firmware loading the proper firmware update? For now, printer is giving a warning saying "Printer Error Occurred" F0.01.09.01 and I could not do anything with it. The printer has a USB port too and I am thinking, my printer is failing the "init" process.
.
And BTW, the printer is still under manufacturer warranty.
Thank you,
E

I would suggest a full reset first.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.

I followed the instructions below, and no matter what I do, I could not get the black control panel to appear. Now the printer is displaying the HP logo and the progress bar indicator going continuously across the little LCD display (right below the HP logo).
I tried turning on by pushing the little power button right below the knob (the button with the bright light) and immediately releasing it and depressing the "OK" dial button but to no avail, the black screen to access the control panel is not showing. Any other method I can try?
At least I can interrupt the loading of the firmware if the "Rear door is open". The menu is asking me to close the "Rear door to Continue.
Thanks,
E
