HP PageWide Managed Color E55650dn

This is a simple question - how do I know if a product is still managed? I work in re-selling, and I have a number of printers which were asset-tagged by an organization. In other situations, "managed" means the item is registered to a specific organization and cannot be re-used by an outsider. I have four PageWide Managed printers, but I can't be certain that if a purchaser went to use them, it might reveal the identity of the previous owner (a security violation), or be unusable anyways (not identifying, but still "locked" to the original owner and has cloud lock-out).

All I want to do is ask HP if specific serial numbers could reveal identities of the previous owners, or if the item can even be used at all. I can't find any information, and there's no direct support contacts.

Edit for 7/28:

Tech support helped me define "managed" :
"Managed printers are more like HP-owned but sold on a lease to the customers, hence the different team."

Different team referring to a contact number, for Managed printers. I have yet to call the team but it sounds promising.

Edit: 7/30

Tech support didn't directly state that former ownership was hidden, but it was vaguely implied. I am able to register the printers to my account, and nothing is revealed. The items are off-warranty (not sure if that could reveal anything) and there was an attempt to up-sell me on service, but my printers never had ink installed, and when plugged in, behaved like normal printers (no ping home to a cloud, no forced prompt to sign in). This appears sufficient for my needs.
