Hi @tgmeow,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To perform a semi-full reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-In-One Printer, follow these steps.

Note:

A semi-full reset will reset all settings on your printer to their factory defaults. Make sure to note down any custom settings you might need to reconfigure later.

Steps:

Turn off the printer: If your printer is currently on, press the power button to turn it off.

Disconnect the power cord: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet. Wait for about 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cord: Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first, and then into the back of the printer.

Turn on the printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Access the Reset Menu:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the home screen.
  • Swipe down to open the dashboard, then tap the gear icon to access the Settings menu.
  • Scroll down and tap on "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools."
  • Look for "Restore" or "Reset" options.

Perform the Semi-Full Reset:

  • Tap on "Restore Factory Defaults" or "Restore Settings."
  • You may be prompted to confirm the reset. Confirm by tapping "Yes" or "OK."

Wait for the reset to complete: The printer will restart and go through the reset process. This may take a few minutes.

Reconfigure your printer: After the reset, you will need to set up your printer again, including connecting to your wireless network and configuring any custom settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
