Hi @Seeker100,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Attaching the output tray to the input tray on an HP printer typically involves aligning the grooves or slots on the output tray with the corresponding tabs or hooks on the input tray and sliding or snapping them into place. Here's a general guide.
- Orientation: Ensure that both the input tray and output tray are positioned correctly. The output tray usually sits on top of the input tray, aligning with the rear or front portion of the input tray, depending on the printer model.
- Alignment: Look for any alignment indicators or markings that show how the output tray should be attached to the input tray. There might be grooves, slots, tabs, or hooks that need to be aligned properly.
- Slide or Snap: Once aligned, gently slide the output tray into place on the input tray. You may need to apply a bit of pressure to snap it securely into place.
- Test: After attaching the output tray, give it a gentle tug to ensure it's securely attached to the input tray. Then, test the printer by running a test print or feeding a single sheet of paper to verify that the trays are working correctly.
- Reassemble: If the output tray was removed to clear a paper jam, ensure that you have cleared all paper jams according to the printer's manual before reattaching the output tray.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
