Hi @contrabassviol,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's important to note that bypassing error messages or using non-approved ink cartridges may violate the terms of service with the printer manufacturer and could potentially damage your printer. However, if you still want to proceed, here are some general suggestions. Keep in mind that these methods might not work for every printer model, and there's always a risk involved.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Try printing again and see if the error persists.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP support website and check if there is a firmware update available for your printer model.
- If there is, download and install the latest firmware following the instructions provided.
Check Ink Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed in the correct slots.
- Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are securely in place.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges:
- While this may not be a bypass, using genuine HP cartridges is the best way to ensure compatibility and avoid error messages.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
