Hi @TSO79 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to connect your HP Officejet 4622 e-All-in-One Printer to your Spectrum router, follow these steps:

1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings (if needed):

Before you attempt to reconnect, it’s a good idea to reset the printer's network settings. This ensures no previous configurations are causing issues.

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button (or go to the Wireless menu).
  • Select Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
  • This will reset all wireless settings and make the printer ready for a new connection.

2. Connect the Printer to WiFi Using the Control Panel:

  1. Power on the printer.
  2. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button. It may be an icon with a wireless signal or a menu option depending on your model.
  3. Select "Wireless Setup Wizard" from the menu.
  4. The printer will scan for available networks. Select your Spectrum Wi-Fi network from the list.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted. Ensure it’s typed correctly (password is case-sensitive).
  6. Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation message.

3. Install Printer Software on Your Computer:

After connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi, you should install the necessary software on your Windows 11 PC:

  • Go to the HP Support Website and search for your model (HP OfficeJet 4622).
  • Download the latest drivers and software for your printer.
  • Run the installation and select the Wireless option when prompted. The software will search for your printer on the network and complete the setup.

4. Troubleshooting:

If you are still unable to connect:

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router is working properly and your printer is within range.
  • Restart your router and printer to refresh the connection.
  • Verify that Wi-Fi Direct is disabled on the printer, as it can sometimes cause conflicts with a regular wireless network.
  • Make sure your router's settings (like the 2.4 GHz band and WPA2 encryption) are compatible with the printer’s wireless capabilities.

5. HP Smart App: Update the firmware on an HP printer

If you'd like to manage your printer wirelessly, you can use the HP Smart App for additional setup and troubleshooting.

  • Download the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store or HP’s website.
  • Open the app and follow the steps to add your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
