HP DeskJet 2752
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP DeskJet 2752 printer (Windows 10, 64 bit operating system) with HP Smart App

I want to delete locked default printer shortcut. If I am in a hurry, I sometimes forget to select a shortcut that I have created, and sometimes when I have selected another shortcut, the printer defaults to the factory default which is set to hp glossy brochure or professional paper and normal and it eats up a lot of my ink. I want to default to draft printing.

If deleting the locked default printer shortcut is not an option, can I connect to the printer with the smart app, maybe that would eliminate that default setting.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

1. Can you update the Win 10 OS to the latest version?

2. If that can't be done, can you go to Control Panel and select the "Printing Preferences" > Under Paper/Quality, select the "Media" to be Plain Paper and "Quality Settings" to "Draft"

That should default to Draft plain paper for future printing.

Hope that helps!
