Your firmware update has broken my printer (a Color LaserJet Pro M254dw). I am running MacOS. Please send me instructions on how to fix the problem you have created.

Good luck with that. I have the same issue and getting nowhere. Suggest you do same as me and raise with National Media...ps HP will probably remove this post before you read it...but I can add you to my Sunday Times email - [Personal Information Removed]

I also am unable to use different cartridges that are supposed to be compatible.  I have an HP Laserjet Pro M180nw, please help - I know it has something to do with firmware, but can't get it figured out.
