Hi,
I need the cliam code, but there seems to be a mismatch between the documentation and the user interface I see on the printer.
- The printer is connected with an ethernet cable. Printing works
- I would like to add the printer to HP smart, so I need the claim code (required here : https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en/newprinter)
- I go to EWS of the printer. According to https://support.hp.com/dk-da/document/c04652538 there should be a Webservices menu item where I should be able to print an info page with the code
- However, there is no Webservices menu item in the EWS
- I did try the login link on the EWS, but I cannot locate username and password
- I tried you chat bot, but this provides no relevant info
Please advice
- how to get the claim code
- how to get username and password for EWS

@Perdk, Welcome to HP Support Community!
The printer is not enabled with web services, so there is no option to print a claim code or enable web services.
Also, the EWS username by default is admin and the password is the same.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Hi,
Logging in with admin/admin on the EWS does not work.
I get the message: Login Failed. Please make sure your ID and Password are correct.
I tried the result instructions from here with no luck.
Please provide correct password or a working factory reset instructions
Best regards,

Try restoring the network defaults by holding the wireless and the cancel button together for 3 secs. Restart the printer and reconfigure the settings.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
