I have an HP Officejet 2015e and I have downloaded driver, set up default (no printer available) so can't print. Tried to use Wifi with pin numbers and Ip address. No luck will not connect even after turning all off Wifi, computer, printer. Now I found a usb cord to connect with the computer but see no place to connect it. Please help...Thank you!

To connect your HP OfficeJet printer via USB, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Locate the USB Port on Your Printer:

  • Depending on your specific model, the USB port is usually located at the back or side of the printer. Look for a small rectangular port labeled with a USB symbol.

Connect the USB Cable:

  • Connect a male USB type-B connector (usually this is the square end) to the USB port on the printer.
  • Connect the male USB type-A connector (the flat end) to a USB port on your computer.

Install the Printer Driver:

  • Since you mentioned already downloading the driver, ensure it is properly installed on your computer.

Add the Printer:

  • For Windows:
    1. Click on the Start menu, then select "Settings" or "Control Panel."
    2. Go to "Devices and Printers" or "Printers and Faxes."
    3. Select "Add a printer" and follow the on-screen instructions to add the USB printer.
  • For Mac OS X:
    1. Go to "System Preferences" and then select "Printers & Scanners."
    2. Click the "+" button to add a new printer.
    3. Select your OfficeJet printer from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.

Test the Connection:

  • Try printing a test page to ensure the printer is recognized and functioning correctly.

Thank you Zoey7886, I did finally find the USB connection at the back of the printer, it was covered in tape. Also one of my problems was my VPN was on. once I turned that off all worked fine! Thanks again!! 😉
