Using a HP Laserjet Pro 400 MFP 425dn, cannot get bypass tray paper to print on...once did, now stopped ...what to do?

We need to determine if this is a hardware or a setting issue. Try to make a copy and select the source tray as Tray 1 and see what happens. If it does  not appear to recognize the presence of paper in the tray you may have a sensor issue, although I have not seen that issue on this particular engine style very often. If it works to copy, check and make sure that both the driver and the printer are set for the same type of media, for example #10 envelop.

Thanks....Setting the tray 1 as the choice, it printed from the bypass.....but now envelopes are drawn in but go thru without printing the address.  But shouldn't the setting be automatic selection for tray, so I don't have to switch back and forth?
