The printer will not print on the smaller paper that includes only one or two checks. My old HP Envy would do it

Hi @marugbs,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To print wallet checks from Quicken when only one or two checks are on a page, and to ensure that your HP printer can handle smaller paper sizes, follow these steps:

Steps to Print Partial Sheets of Wallet Checks:

Printer Settings:

  • Ensure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer.
  • Open the printer settings on your computer.
  • Set the paper size in the printer settings to accommodate the smaller size of the check sheet. This might involve selecting a custom size that matches the remaining checks on the page.

Quicken Settings:

  • Open Quicken and navigate to the section where you print checks.
  • Choose the number of checks to print and specify where they are located on the sheet if Quicken allows you to adjust this.

Load Paper:

  • Carefully load the sheet with one or two checks into the paper tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides on the printer to hold the paper firmly in place. This helps in feeding the smaller-sized paper correctly into the print path.

Print Test:

  • Before printing the actual checks, it might be helpful to print a test page on a blank piece of paper with marks indicating where the checks will print. This allows you to verify alignment.

Printer Driver Update:

  • Ensure that your printer driver is up to date. An outdated driver might not support custom sizes or the specific handling needed for printing on check stock.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
