Is there a master reset or a procedure? I need the Embedded Web Server password erased. I tried to reset Network or factory, but no success. ITs asking me for password. Which I don't recall anymore.

Thanks

Hi @ZFLAMS,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reset the Embedded Web Server password on an HP 2600 printer, you can follow these steps.

  • Press the "Cancel" button on the printer control panel to stop any current print jobs.
  • Press and hold the "Wireless" and "Cancel" buttons simultaneously for three seconds, and then release them.
  • Wait for the wireless light to start blinking, indicating that the printer is now in WPS mode.
  • Connect your computer to the printer's wireless network. The network name (SSID) is "hpsetup," and the default password is "12345678."
  • Open a web browser on your computer and enter the IP address "192.168.223.1" in the address bar. This will bring up the printer's Embedded Web Server.
  • In the Embedded Web Server, click on the "Security" tab, and then select "Administrator Settings."
  • Click on the "Reset" button next to the "Password" field.
  • When prompted, enter a new password for the administrator account, and then confirm it.
  • Click on "Apply" to save the changes.

Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to log in to the Embedded Web Server using the new password you created.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
