HP MFP Scan does not recognize HP Color Laser 178NW

Dears,

HP MFP Scan does not recognize HP Color Laser MFP 178NW after the firmware upgrade  was done on HP Color Laser MFP 178NW. It says "device is not selected", there si no way to select the HP Color Laser MFP 178NW. Printer is connected through cable to laptop. I tried all the possible ways-recommendations given by HP to install/uninstall software (HP MFP Scan), clean registry etc, nothing works. Does anybody experience the same problem?  Is t

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you are receiving a "device is not selected" error on the printer.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
