I’ve heard that I can receive a Private Message for steps for my printer to factory reset it? If so, I’d like to receive it in order to factory reset it and remove the admin password. If you can, please send me it. Thanks, user

Hi @AScreenName3630,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Resetting the admin password on a HP DeskJet 3632 printer may be necessary if you've forgotten the password or need to change it for security reasons. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you reset the admin password.
Note: Before proceeding, make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Open a web browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the same network as the printer.
- In the browser's address bar, type in the printer's IP address and press Enter. You can usually find the printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer.
Login to the EWS:
- You will be prompted to enter a username and password. By default, the username is usually "admin," and the password may be blank (leave it empty) or "admin" as well. Try both options.
- If the default login credentials don't work, you may need to refer to your printer's documentation or contact HP support for assistance in resetting the password.
Change the Admin Password:
- Once you have logged into the EWS, navigate to the "Security" or "Settings" section, where you can change the admin password.
- Look for an option like "Change Password" or "Security Settings."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set a new admin password. Make sure to choose a strong password that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters for better security.
Save the Changes:
- After setting the new password, make sure to save the changes. There should be a "Save" or "Apply" button on the EWS page. Click it to confirm your new password.
Log Out:
- To ensure the security of your printer, log out of the EWS once you've changed the password. Look for a "Log Out" or "Sign Out" option and click it.
Test the New Password:
- After logging out, try logging back in with your new admin password to ensure it works.
That's it! You've successfully reset the admin password on your HP DeskJet 3632 printer. Make sure to keep the new password in a safe place or use a secure method to store it, as you'll need it for future administrative tasks on your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
