Hi there!.

Can anyone help me understand how to reset the EWS access console (admin), as I set it up with a password but the webpage will not accept the password and so I cannot change a number of settings.

If it's possible I would like to be able to reset only the EWS / Web console password, and not to reconfigure all the printer. I have seen a post were it's mentioned the solution can be shared directly with me (and not published public).

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Paul

In the event that someone needs the same solution for this printer, send me a message, I can probably help.

After calling to HP support again (see below for what happened at first), I got a wonderful support agent on the line who told me how to reset my printer. He stayed with me through everything in a phone call and camera on my phone until it was done. Absolute hero. So now my printer is once again unlocked. And if I can help someone else, that would be excellent so they won't have to go through the same experience as I did.

(What I do need to mention, is that at first I had a very frustrating call with a HP support agent in The Netherlands, who basically told me that she didn't have the solution and that her colleagues didn't have the solution.  So it really was my fault for putting in a password, and the printer was not under guarantee anymore anyway. When presented with the information that there is a solution, as several users have been pm-ed by HP employees, she wouldn't accept it or do anything with it. Her response: Well, why don't you go to those people then, I can't help you. Then she pretended she couldn't hear me anymore and hung up. Angry, I called them again, which resulted in the result mentioned before. )
