Hi @mossld07,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Resetting the password on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw printer typically involves performing a factory reset. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase all custom settings on the printer, including network configurations and passwords. Here are the general steps to perform a factory reset on your printer.

Access the Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, locate and touch the "Setup" button. This might also be labeled as "Tools" or a similar option, depending on your printer model.

Navigate to "Service" or "Restore Defaults":

  • Look for an option like "Service," "Restore Defaults," or "Reset All Settings" in the setup menu.

Perform the Factory Reset:

  • Once you've found the appropriate option, select it. The printer will prompt you to confirm the action.

Confirm the Reset:

  • Confirm that you want to perform a factory reset. This may involve pressing "OK" or "Yes" on the printer's display.

Wait for the Reset:

  • The printer will reset to its factory settings. This process may take a few minutes.

Reconfigure Settings:

  • After the factory reset is complete, you'll need to set up your printer again, including connecting it to your network and specifying any other settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
