I have no option anywhere to turn on or off private printing or print anywhere and yet somehow private printing is enabled and it say "admin enabled private printing". I cannot use my printer yet again because of this junk.

Hi @Arden21,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to turn off Private Printing on your HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer, you will need to access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) or HP Smart app. Here’s how you can disable Private Printing:
Method 1: Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Find the Printer's IP Address:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Network Setup > Network Summary to find the IP address.
- Alternatively, print a network configuration page to find the IP address.
Access the EWS:
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- Enter the printer's IP address into the address bar and press Enter.
Log in as Administrator:
- Click on the Sign In button on the top right corner of the EWS page.
- Enter the Administrator username and password. If you haven't set a password, try leaving it blank or use the default credentials (which are often "admin" for both username and password).
Disable Private Printing:
- Navigate to the Security tab or Settings tab.
- Look for Private Printing or Print Anywhere settings.
- Disable Private Printing by switching it to Off.
- Click Apply or Save to update the settings.
Method 2: Using the HP Smart App
Open the HP Smart App:
- Ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
Access Printer Settings:
- Click on your printer on the HP Smart app home screen.
- Go to Advanced Settings or Printer Settings.
Disable Private Printing:
- Look for options related to Private Printing or Print Anywhere.
- Turn off Private Printing by setting the feature to Off.
- Save the changes.
- If you cannot find the Private Printing setting, ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates in the EWS under Web Services or using the HP Smart app.
- If you do not know the Administrator password and cannot log in, you might need to reset the printer to its factory settings. This process will reset all settings and require reconfiguration.
- If the Private Printing setting was enabled by an administrator, you may need to contact the administrator to disable it if you do not have admin rights.
