How do I turn off automatic prints? I recently used the Print & Scan Doctor to fix a problem and in the process I agreed to turn on automatic updates to the printer. However, now that it updates automatically, it also prints out a "Printer Update Completed" page. I do not want to be wasting paper and ink on those automatic prints. How can it be set to not do the automatic prints? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community
Let's turn off the web services from the EWS page to stop printing the automatic updates.
-
Print a Network Configuration or self-test page to obtain the printer IP address needed to view the EWS webpage.
-
Find the printer IP address on the Network Configuration or self-test page.
-
On your computer, open an Internet browser.
-
Type the printer IP address in the browser address bar, and then press Enter.
NOTE:
Make sure to type the IP address into the Internet browser's address box. If typed into a toolbar search box or search engine, the EWS does not open.
-
If a website security certificate displays in the Internet browser, click Continue.
The EWS information page for the printer opens, which confirms that the printer is on the same network as the computer.
-
On the EWS webpage, click the Web Services tab.
-
And turn off the Web Services.
Keep me posted, how it goes!

Thanks for your reply. I found the IP address from the printer app on my computer (so I didn't have to print a page for that).
Anyway, following the remaining instructions, when I open the Web Services tab, it already says that the status is Not Enabled. That didn't prevent the printer from automatically printing a Printer Update Completed sheet when it updated recently.
They should have a setting on the printer or the printer app to disable automatic prints.
Thanks for your time.

Have a great day!
