I have a printer HP OfficeJet 8015 and when I try to change some settings in the printer panel, most of the settings have a lock and does not allow me to change anything.
I can't access the network settings to fix the wireless connection and it can only function when using HP smart app directly.
After searching in hp foruns the advise is to reset, which I have done it and didn't work.
Any help on this would be very appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
