The software installed in the computer (scan/print drivers etc) does it update automatically or do I need to install HP Support Assistant in order to update the software.
Is the any difference if I have installed a standard windows W11 printer driver or if I have installed a driver package from HP regarding updates....?

The Windows 11 driver will handle the basics... And the HP one, installed completely.

Ideally, you should update to the latest versions.
If not, you can download a different version.
