Product: HP DesignJet 510 24-in Printer

Dear all: I have a HP Design Jet 510 24" plotter that is approx 10 years old. I am trying to run it from a windows 11 machine and have downloaded the driver and firmware using the HP app. The printer is connected to the desktop with USB. However I dont know how to update the driver or the firmware. I thought the HP app would do it automatically, but it does not detect the printer. So I guess I have two  issues I need to resolve: 1. Have the HP app detect the printerand 2. Update the driver and firmware using the app. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
