I understand you are trying to install the printer on the Mac. To assist you better, how is the printer connected to the Mac?

First, check the connectivity.

 

The printer driver is available on the HP Support site via the HP Easy Start app. 

Click here to download the same. 

 

This printer is also AirPrint compatible, we may install the printer using the AirPrint driver. This can be done once the connectivity is verified.

 

Check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
